Secquard compares and reports the actual cyber security configurations of systems against desired settings. It uses 2 components to do so, a script and a locally installed application. The scripts read the configurations of your systems and push this information to the application. The application then compares the configurations against your industry standard of choice, or your own policies and creates reports on integrated and detailed levels.
The completely automised character of our service enables you to choose reports periodically, keeping insights of your systems up-to-date at all times and enabling you to change course whenever you feel the need. In addition, Secquard's trend reports provide you with insights over longer periods of time.
Secquard is available for all common operating systems for servers, databases, dekstops, laptops and networking components. Use is unlimitedly scalable, making it suitable for auditing several systems up until network environments of hundreds, even thousands of systems.
The Secquard shell scripts contain a number of tasks which read the configurations of an operating system and other information from servers, laptops, desktops or network components. As structures differ, we have specific scripts available for each operating system.
The Secquard script is installed once per machine. Additional information is then directly provided, such as reporting frequency and the address of the Secquard application. The script is non-intrusive and does not need other software – such as Java – to run. Version management of the installed Secquard script is automatically taken care of by the Secquard application.
For automatically installing the Secquard script on larger numbers of systems, Secquard has developed tools. Use of configuration management tools is also possible.
The Secquard application is installed locally on as server on the client’s premise. The application and its content are updated with an https encryption plus pull connection.
The results of the connected systems are received automatically. Within the Secquard application, the comparison between the actual (IST) and desired (SOLL) status takes place and reports are generated. Processing time is negligible, which is why reports are available at any given moment.
All reports are available in dashboard form, as pdf or excel file. Additionally, the reports have an extensible xml interface that makes integration with other applications and dashboards easy to accomplish.
Secquard is currently available for most commonly used operating systems. Please see the following list.
Are you using a different operating system than listed below, and would you like to use Secquard? Please contact us, we'll see what we can do to make that possible!
